The Wannabe Guide To DT.
Part One.
This is not a gaming blog, but this will begin a series of posts about the online dragon breeding game Draconis Theory.
I have been playing DT for two full years now, having joined in when the game was only a month old to the public. DT is a dragon breeding game. You have the ability to choose from 5 Ancient species at the start of the game, they are:

Earth Dragon
Recently, Variants have been added to the game. So recently, we are still waiting for the Chinese Variant. We're very excited about the Variants.

Stone. Earth Variant.

Lava. Fire Variant.

Ice. Water Variant.

Tempest. Wind Variant.
Variants are a little tricky. Your dragon must have a tendency to mutate, and you have to hold your mouth right too.
The current Variants are Phase 1, they tell us, which can only be bred from Ancients. They tell us that Phase 2 Variants will only be able to be bred from Phase 1 Variants. That should be fun.
You can breed dragons to have patterns. For example, all of these dragons have both the spot and striped pattern, except the Tempest which is too new to have any adults with both patterns. Of course you can breed your favorite color combinations. Or, you can breed dragons for the battling side of the game.
There are nightly battles, with which your dragon's can gain some experience and a little gold too. There are also NPC opponents your dragon can take on as he levels up, like these five pictured below.

Through the NPC battles help you gain more land. With more land to explore you might even find the Labirynth, where you can find bosses to defeat, as well as earn a few new dragons every day.
If you're really into battling, the premium players can enter the Challenge every month. Your nightly battles earn points toward the big brawl on the 27th. And who doesn't want to be the Big Kahuna?
Oh, by the way, the leaderboards are still accessible even to new players. Why, the new clan I started just to write this blog series already won a monthly award and it was only 6 days old.
I know, you've probably already gone to the site to check it out. But if you can wait for me, I'll get you off to a good start.
Next installment. An overview of what you need to do each game day to keep from getting into a hole your first week.
